Polypropylene Chemical Compatibility

Key chemicals that have EXCELLENT chemical  compatibility with Polypropylene are Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda), Acetone, Hydrofluosilicic AcidSulfur Dioxide, Diesel Fuel, Motor Oil, Sodium Bisulfite, Malic Acid and others.  These chemicals are not as chemically compatible with HDPE.  Our Polypropylene Storage Tanks are available in single wall and double wall variations.

What are the benefits of using Rotationally Molded Polypropylene Storage Tanks?

Rotationally molded polypropylene tanks offer exceptional durability thanks to their seamless, stress‑free construction. Because the molding process forms the tank as a single piece, there are no welded joints or weak points that can fail over time. Polypropylene itself is naturally resistant to cracking, impact, and environmental stress, making these tanks ideal for long‑term use in demanding industrial, agricultural, and commercial settings.

Another major benefit is the outstanding chemical resistance of polypropylene. These tanks can safely store a wide range of corrosive chemicals, acids, and process materials without degrading or leaching. The material’s stability at elevated temperatures also makes it suitable for applications where other plastics might warp or break down. This reliability reduces maintenance needs and extends the service life of the tank, offering excellent value over time.

Rotational molding also allows for remarkable design flexibility. Manufacturers can create tanks in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and configurations, including custom fittings, reinforced areas, and integrated features. This adaptability ensures that each tank can be tailored to the specific requirements of the application, whether it’s for chemical processing, water treatment, or bulk material storage. The result is a highly functional, cost‑effective solution that performs consistently in real‑world conditions.
