Insulated Polypropylene Tanks

Our Insulated Polypropylene Tanks are covered with a 2-inch-thick layer of closed cell polyurethane spray foam insulation. The insulation is sealed with a white mastic coating that provides UV protection.

The R-value of the the closed cell insulation is rated at 6.7 per inch. That gives an overall R-value of over 13 for the two inches that are applied. We can, optionally increase the thickness of the insulation to 3 or 4 inches thick.

Heat Tracing is very often chosen in combination with insulation on our tanks. With Heat Tracing, electrical heat pads can maintain a minimum temperature of the liquid inside the tank. Common applications include Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) and Water.
