The size of a tank usually determines the method of shipping. Tanks up to 1550-gallons are normally shipped palletized, LTL on major trucking companies. For multiple tanks, it may be less expensive to ship on a shared or dedicated trailer.
Tanks larger than 1550 gallons are usually shipped on shared or dedicated flatbed trucks. Tanks over 102″ in diameter are “Oversized Loads”.
Very large tanks (over 10,000-gallons) may need specialized equipment.
The ship weight and dimensions shown below for tanks 1550-gallons and under include pallets. For tanks larger than 1550-gallons, pallets are not included.
